Archiving & Deleting
Wusool never silently deletes governed data. Removing a value archives it, and deleting a Dimension is always reversible.
Archiving a value
Removing a value from a Dimension archives it rather than deleting it — its ID stays stable and its history is preserved. Archived values show with a strikethrough in the editor.
Before you save, Wusool checks whether the value you’re removing is still in use — by a Combined Dimension, a Workbook column, or a scope group’s criteria — and warns you if it is. No warning means no impact.
Renaming a value shows a separate, similar warning if it’s referenced elsewhere, since renames are also worth double-checking downstream.
Archived-reference badge
If a Combined Dimension references a now-archived value, it shows a calm amber “N archived values” badge. This is purely informational — the archived value is still valid immutable history, so nothing is broken or blocked. The Combined Dimension editor offers Remove those combinations if you want to clean them up. This is a different signal from Stale — see Combined Dimensions.
Deleting a Dimension
Deleting a Dimension is a soft delete: it’s hidden from active use, and its values, sources, and combinations are archived along with it.

Every archive, restore, and delete action is recorded in the Dimension’s own Change history, visible to Admins and the owner group.
