Quick Start

Go from sign-up to a governed master data list in under five minutes. You’ll end up with a live workspace your whole team can trust.

~10 minutes

Create your account so you can spin up a workspace.

  1. Go to app.wusool.app.
  2. Create your account with an email address or SSO provider.

Create or join a workspace

A workspace is your organisation’s environment. All Dimensions, Combined Dimensions, and Workbooks live inside it, and every user in your workspace shares the same governed data.

  1. After signing in, create a new workspace, or accept an invitation to an existing one.
  2. Give the workspace a name your whole team will recognise. You can rename it later.

This is where all your governed master data lists live.

  1. Click Dimensions in the main navigation.
  2. If your workspace is new, the list will be empty. That's expected.

Create your first Dimension

A Dimension is a governed list of values, such as Regions, Cost Centres, or Product Lines. It becomes the one approved list every downstream tool references.

  1. Click New Dimension and give it a name. For this example, use Region.
  2. Add your values, one per line: Europe, APAC, Americas.
  3. Click Save. You now have a governed list anyone in your workspace can reference. Only users with the right role can add, rename, or remove values.
Tip

Have a long list? Import your values from a CSV file using the import option when adding values. Each column in the file becomes its own Dimension. If your file has more than one column, Wusool also creates a Combined Dimension linking them. Dimensions hold values only; there are no extra per-value attributes to map.

Invite your first team member

Wusool is most powerful when the people who use the data share a workspace with the people who govern it.

  1. Go to Settings in the navigation, then click Users.
  2. Click Invite and enter your colleague's email address.
  3. They'll receive an email with a link to join your workspace.

Assign them a role

A role controls what each user can see and do, whether they can view Dimensions, edit values, or administer the workspace. You can set it when inviting a user, or any time after. Learn more in the Roles guide.

Note

Every workspace also has an Owner (the person who created it) with full Admin capabilities. Contributor is the default role applied to a new invitation when none is specified.

What to do next

Now that you have a Dimension and a team member, here’s where to go from here.

  • Create more Dimensions for other master data lists, such as Cost Centre, Product Line, and Department.
  • Build a Combined Dimension to define valid pairings across Dimensions.
  • Set up a Workbook to collect governed data from your team.
  • Review Core Concepts to understand how everything fits together.
