Combined Dimensions
A Combined Dimension joins two or more Dimensions into their cross-product, then lets you remove the pairings your business doesn’t actually use.
Build one
You need at least two existing simple Dimensions before you can start.
Details
Name the Combined Dimension, assign an owner group, and set its visibility mode (Open or Restricted).
Select Dimensions
Pick two or more source Dimensions to combine.
Define Combinations
Each row in the grid is one allowed value combination. At least one fully-filled row is required before you can save.
Starting from a standard list? ISO templates pre-fill both the sources and the combinations: Countries (ISO 3166), Currencies (ISO 4217 — disambiguates same-named currencies like Malawian and Zambian Kwacha), and Languages (ISO 639).
Broken vs. Stale
These look similar but mean different things:

| Broken | Fewer than 2 of its source Dimensions are still live. |
| Stale | At least one combination references a value that was archived or removed from its source Dimension. |
Editing a value’s label, or adding new values to a source, does not make a Combined Dimension stale — only a missing or archived referenced value does. Use Regenerate all in the editor to rebuild every combination from the current source values when a Combined Dimension is stale or empty.

Who can edit
Editing a Combined Dimension requires the Contributor or Admin role, and membership of its owner group — unless it has no owner group, in which case any Contributor can edit it. See Ownership groups. Anyone without edit access sees a read-only view instead: values as plain text, no mutation controls.
